Due to the dynamics of economy, intense competition and globalization, now there has been a lot of focus on career planning and development. For past few years, career management and development strategies are selected by counsellors and experts. The impact of career development on young individuals is inestimable and long term. The reason is due to the career developme nt process, a person fashions his identity of work. In todayââ¬â¢s environment, work makes an identity of a person just like a famous notion in American culture is; ââ¬Å"we are what we doâ⬠. Some prominent theories and models supporting the idea of career development and management are: â⬠¢ Superââ¬â¢s theory of Vocational Choice ââ¬â 1954 â⬠¢ Hollandââ¬â¢s Theory â⬠¢ Hackettââ¬â¢s Social Cognitive Career Theory ââ¬â 1987 â⬠¢ Axelrad, Ginsburg and Herma Theory ââ¬â 1951 ...
